Who We Are

Lillian Ngala Foundation is a grassroots non-profit and charity organization conceptualized in 2020. We work with communities, partners and local authorities to promote the welfare of widows, orphaned children, the sick and underprivileged, persons living with disabilities and unemployed youths.

These groups are among Kenya’s most vulnerable groups due to stigma, discrimination, corruption, cultural limitations, lack of access to capital and proneness to crime as a way out. Yet they hold great potential to overcome adversity and become valuable members of society.

“I believe as an individual I have the responsibility to change the community that I come from by championing initiatives that directly impact all. I may not do grand things yet but I believe modest undertakings will mean so much to so many people”

Programs

Building Decent Houses for Widows

Most widows live in abject poverty because they are robbed of their houses and assets when their husbands die, and they can’t get decent sources of livelihood due to age and lack of access to capital. Learn More

Medical Help for the Underprivileged

Rural areas have higher disease and mortality rates, yet the people who live there make fewer visits to physicians and are less likely to receive personal health counselling or preventive services than those in higher-income areas. Learn More

Our work with the youth is based on the belief that if young people have sufficient incomes and resources to sustain productive lives, they can generate an economic opportunity and contribute to the wider good and care for others. Learn More
